Andy MacQueen is a former corporate executive, amateur genetic sleuth, and lifelong adventurer. He studied Material Science and Engineering at Clemson University before earning an Executive MBA from Pepperdine University. During his twenty-year career in the aerospace industry, his own health struggles sparked a fascination with genetics and the complex relationship between biology, environment, and mental health.
After spending decades trying to understand his own mind, he eventually traded corporate life for the quieter existence in the mountains he had always dreamt of. He now lives in Colorado, where he spends his time writing, pursuing new projects, capturing wildlife on trail cameras, and enjoying life with his dogs.
For years, Andy has shared his passion about the role of genetic variants with just about anyone willing to listen. He founded Gene Dynamics as a platform to raise awareness and encourage others to learn more about how genetics may be impacting their health and well-being.
His life has also produced more questionable decisions, unexpected adventures, and wild stories than could possibly fit into Weekend Worrier. Fortunately, there’s another book for those. He is currently working on Chasing Dopa, which continues his story.
